Extracting Assets
Ive stumbled across a feature in Photoshop that Ive never noticed before… Extracting Assets. Been playing around with it but fail to understand what it does. Does anyone know of its uses and/or its benefits ? Ive got CC2014.

Click the little blue help button to the left of the text entry box and you will find the syntax for entering a link. Being a bit of dunce it took me a while to get it right even once I'd found it.

Hi Anna

Don't know if I am reinventing the wheel here: when you open cc2014, go to Help>welcome. A number of videos explaining extract assets.

Re: Extracting Assets
Thank you Matt, David and Michael for the links. Ive learned a lot this afternoon. What an amazing feature this is. Being able to extract a layer and convert it into a png is a terrific tool for me. In the past, Ive had to create a new document, copy and paste the layer on it and then save it as a .png and it will create it in a much larger size than the original if you want. Incredible!

David (Vicho) nice to see you again!! Been a long time

David Mac..thanks for that hint too! I never knew this. All these years on the forum and Ive never noticed it lol.
