Setup
Okay, this isn't a PS question but more for the PS addict. Yes, I'm addicted but my problem is my desk setup. Does anyone have any suggestions for a comfortable way of setting up the computer and tablet. I spent almost the whole weekend using my tablet and my neck and between my shoulder blades are so stiff I can hardly turn my head. I know, ... ROOKIE! If anyone has a good setup maybe you could post a picture of how you work. It would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to avoid a third back sugery. Thank you much! _________________ Steve Mac |

Re: Setup
I use one of those reverse chairs that you kneel on. They're not terribly comfortable, which means I keep switching my position - and this helps. Plus, they do avoid the 'computer slouch' position! |

Re: Setup
I find the position of the screen is very important. I seem to spend all day on my computer with very little side effect, but 1/2 hour on my daughters give me a very sore neck. Of course what we should all do is get up and walk around every hour. |

Re: Setup
I did try one of those kneely chairs but it really strained my knee joints; sometimes to the extent of not being able to walk for a while after using it. _________________ It must be Thursday, I never could get the hang of Thursdays |

Re: Setup
Thanks guys. I did try one thing. I moved my monitors up about 6 inches. Now they are more at eye level. I found myself shrugging and leaning into the monitor because I wasn't looking straight at it. Vibeke, I think you are right. I need to be more aware of getting up and walking around more often.3 or 4 hours can pass so quickly when you are tuned into a project. Like you guys don't already know that! The other thought was maybe raising my desk up a bit so my tablet is not so low. Steve, where would I look for one of those kneeling chairs to check out. Office supply or more like one of those quirky gadget stores? Thanks again. _________________ Steve Mac |

Re: Setup
In corporate health and safety mode: the top of the monitor should be at eye level and be at a distance equal to the length of your arm with fingers extended. _________________ Leap and the net will appear |

Re: Setup
Thank you David. I always thought I was always too close to the monitor but that's about where I end up, arm's length. well, I'm getting close. Thank you David. _________________ Steve Mac |

Re: Setup
Most office supply stores will sell them. But they do take a bit of getting used to! |

Re: Setup
Thanks Steve. I just figured I would check it out anyway. I have a regular desk chair but sometimes the arm rests feel like they are in the way. _________________ Steve Mac |
