Color Brush Replacement/ Replace Color
I have an image of a storm trooper that I am trying to color over with a darker color, however, when I use the color replacement brush or replace color, it shades it a much lighter color, one that I don't want. I want to paint it dark red, but pink is all I get. Any ideas? |

Re: Color Brush Replacement/ Replace Color
Check to make sure the brush you are using is set to 100% opacity. _________________ Steve Mac |

Re: Color Brush Replacement/ Replace Color
Thanks, but that doesn't seem to be the problem, opacity is set to 100 percent. I found a cheap way to get over this(color replacement brush) First you color in luminosity and then paint over in color mode. However, it doesn't work as well as it should. Anyone else have any ideas? |

Re: Color Brush Replacement/ Replace Color
Make sure that you have your foreground color set to the new color that you want to replace with, since this determines the replacement color. Also try setting the brush mode to each of the 4 different modes to see how it paints. A better way to replace a color might be to select the color that you want to replace with "Select>Color Range", and then adjust the color by adding a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer. If you add the adjustment layer with a selection, only the selection will be adjusted. Also by adjusting the color in this manner, if you don't like to new color, it is very easy to re-adjust. |
