Layers
I have a file with a lot of layers. It surprised me that the most lowest layer, at the bottom of the stack of layers, is above an other layer! I can't shove them under the other layers.
Is that possible? Yes, it is. How can I solve that problem?
With regards, Hans44.

Re: Layers
To move the bottom layer, Duplicate it, and then move the new layer. You can then delete the original bottom layer. I hope this is what you are after.

Re: Layers
Thanks for the suggestion Vibeke. Its unbelievable but it does not work. I have all the layers 'ungrouped' but the specific layer refuses 'to go under' for a lot of layers (which are all 'modus Normal').

Re: Layers
Can you do a screen shoot of the page, so we can see how the layers look? And mark the one you want to move.

Re: Layers
Hans, If you want to move a layer just left click on the layer and hold down the mouse button while you drag it either up or down to its new location.

Re: Layers
The only way i can see this happening is if you are trying to move it under the Background layer which is locked.

So unlock it (Alt + Double Click or Option + Double Click)

and then move the layer you want underneath.

Re: Layers
'Press the prtscr-button, go to New/ok in Phs, Edit/Paste, then you have your printscreen'; but not today on my pc..... So sorry.
Thank you all, but of course my Background was/is not locked and moving a Layer did I several times before.
Its not a huge problem, I can manage with Mask.
But over all, its curious.
Thanks again; with regards, Hans44.

Re: Layers
Here I'am again, now with a screenshot.
Two green layers on the bottom of mij file/(pile/stack? of layers). I can't get the green layers (the second green layer is a copy of the same wreckage) behind/under the yellow(barn). That's to say: not on my screen; they stay above the barn!
After all, good weekend for everyone; Hans44.

Re: Layers
Weird indeed. The only thing I can think of here is that you have the Blend If section of those two green layers set to allow the underlying layers to show through. Is this possible? Double-click the layer icon, and look at Blend If at the bottom. If either of the black triangles are in a position other than at the extreme left, that could be what's happening.

Re: Layers
Wauw Steve, you are the Champion and I knew it; you have solved the problem.
Looking at the yellow layer (of the big barn on the Ark): (the white triangle of 'underlaying layer' was drawn indeed, far by zero to the left side. I have recovered that and everything is fine now. Its'a miracle; thank you so much.
With deepest respect, Hans44.
