photoshop CS3 Extended is no longer Extended !
I know this is really an adobe issue and i have already been on to adobe tech help about it, but the resolution wasnt great to say the least.
I did a system restore recently and after the restore i noticed that photoshop was no longer the CS3 Extended version, but just photoshop CS3. Weird i thought, it must be something to do with the system restore so i restored back to how it was before the 'extended' problem arose.
Still the same as before for some odd reason.

Adobe recommend totally removing all adobe programmes, plugins and all other third party apps and starting over from scratch.

anyone ever come across this before ?

It's just that the Extended licence must have got erased when you did the system restore. Unfortunately, this annoying business of having to remove absolutely all Adobe apps and start again seems to be the only solution!

i was afraid someone was going to say that...

thanks for the reply steve, i guess thats what i will have to do though i think in a way it may be a blessing in disguise as i have been putting off reformatting and installing Vista for far to long.

I guess i might aswell go the whole hog and spend the entire week reinstalling everything along with a new OS

Sorry to hear that Progenic... and you'd think with the computers and software as 'advanced' as they are that there would be less conflicts than before, instead of more...

When I replaced my old computer (G4 with 1.5 gb ram) with a newer G5 and upgraded to 3 gb of ram, I expected Photoshop to operate flawlessly... okay, better... (work on larger files without as much time watching the progress bar). The difference isn't as great as I thought it would be and, for some reason Photoshop will 'hang' (spinning beach ball) for reasons that I never experienced on my G4.

Ah... the joys of technology!
