some make up...
hi
yesterday i was asked to put some make up on this girlīs face, here`s the result
but i didnīt know how to give color to the cheeks, i used Curves because it is faster and the client was in a hurry (i did it under 15 mins) but i`m not too convinced...is there a way to get better results?...like very quickly?

Hi Vicho,

You have good start on your retouching.

To add color to the cheeks, I would start by asking the ladies who wear makeup, how and where they put it. (My wife is who I ask for that). Once you have an idea of where to put it, paint it on with a soft brush set to about 20 to 30% After you get it painted on where you want it, use the blur tool to smooth out. I usually put it on much darker than I want it, as it's easier to see what I am doing. Then I lower the opacity to the level that looks good. 30 to 60% usually works well

While I was here, I also thickened the eyebrows, and eyelashes, and replaced the eyes. I added some lipstick as well.

Another thing that you could do that would help this photo, would be to remove the distracting background.

I hope that you like.

Regards,
Dave.

I like the treatment on the eyes and mouth, Dave, but the cheekbone blush is perhaps a little heavy-handed - take another look and tone it down slightly!

Re: some make up...
You are correct Steve. I shouldn't do this so late at night. I will tone it down and update it.

Hi Vicho. I have some eyelash brushes that I use to create the eyelashes. You can google for "Photoshop eyelash brushes" and should be able to find several that you can download. I add the eyelashes on a new layer, and use transform to make them fit the eye. I have one pair for each eye, consisting of an upper and a lower. It's important not to use the same one on both eyes, because you don't want them to match.

Re: some make up...
Yep, I forgot to lower the opacity on the blush

Thanks for catching that Steve.
