I have recently bought cheat for CS2 and was working my way through it but now i am stuck, On the lock and load section when i try to do the shadow the 5 hearts is stuck with the jack and i am only getting the shadow on the queen.
Any suggestions on what i am doing wrong.

Hi Ann, and welcome to the site.

The only thing that I can think of, is when you are clicking, the book says to click on the layer name. In CS2, or CS3, you need to click on the eye, to the left of the name.

In Step 1, Ctrl Click, or Cmd Click will select the Queen.
In Step 2, Ctrl Shift Click, or Cmd Shift Click will add the Jack to the selection.
In Step 3, Ctrl Alt Click, or Cmd Alt Click will deselect the 5 card.

I hope this helps.

Dave

First, make a new layer. Then pick the Brush tool. and choose a fairly large (about 60 pixels) soft-edged brush. Now paint the shadow in by hand! If you like, lower the opacity of the brush so you can build the shadow up in stages.
