grid
Is there any way of making the grid in "show - grid" part of document ie not just an overlay but something you can use as part of your design. I'm creating a game board and I need a load of squares (as in a cluedo board. Cheers Chris |

Re: grid
You can use the vanishing point filter. You can get the grid looking how you want first and then do "Render Grids to Photoshop" from the little drop down menu. I have used it for that purpose and it's been useful. |

Re: grid
Chris, You could create a new document, 4x4 pixels, draw a cross through the centre, and save this as a pattern. Depending on the resolution of your final artwork, you will have to enlarge the template / start with a smaller background (and the enlarge that once filled). Then you could use layer masks to hide areas not needed. I hope this makes sense? There are a couple of tutorials knocking about on the web regarding making brick patterns, that use a similar method. Re: grid
Another way would be to create a new layer, create a line by filling a single pixel marquee, then use the Free Transform ctrl, alt, shift+T method to replicate it evenly across the page. Repeat for the horizontals. _________________ A happy-go-lucky chap, always dressed in black |

Re: grid
Thanks everyone I went to custom shape, picked the grid motif, made a selection and filled it. I then duplicated it to fill the page and got an even grid. Goin to try your suggestions too. Thanks again Chris |
