I looked up instructions for posting an Avatar and the first step is to Upload Image. To where? Most of posts on avatars were written several years ago and the process seems overly complex. Is there an easy way to post an avatar today? |

Yes. Click Personal at the top of the screen. Click Edit Profile on the left-hand side. You can upload your avatar from there. _________________ It must be Thursday, I never could get the hang of Thursdays |

I see image size is limited to 20k. What pixel size is that? I have one piece of photo that is 45k, but if I save it at lowest jpeg resolution it is 35K and fuzzy. Looked at a different way the image is 340 x 400 pixel, but even reduced to 10x15 pixel it is still 27k and very tiny. When I saved it for Web device the file size went up to 120k. Do I just have to pick a very small piece of a picture or is there some other trick I should be using? How do I tell what size the image will be as an avatar, or does it automatically display at one size? |

As far as I can remember, the dimensions are around 75x75px. My avatar reduced from 300x300px, saved as a JPEG at 60% quality weighs in at just under 4kb with very little quality loss.  _________________ A happy-go-lucky chap, always dressed in black |
