How is this done? | light effect on text and grid
Hi everyone, I am curious. I found this really awesome piece http://behance.vo.llnwd.net/profiles/74351/projects/96557/743511212394810.jpg And I would really like to know how the light text effect is achieved. Also the grid. How can I make a grid like that in PS? Now I assume that the layer effects one would use on the type can be used on the grid? |

Grids are easy in Photoshop. Use the Vanishing point filter, draw a rectangle in the plane you want, then in a somewhat hidden menu, choose "Render grid to photoshop". When you click ok, the blue grid you see in the filter is now on the current layer. Make sure before you go into the vanishing point filter that you have a blank layer and that it's current. Otherwise the grid just gets put onto whatever image is on the current layer.
Now I have the grid from the VP filter on a layer.
Once you have this you can do what you want. Use it as a mask, stroke it, anything. It's just a starting point. |
