Scanning a picture in Photoshop on a Mac?
Hi, I am still new to Macs and am having difficulty in using my Epson scanner with my mac. It's an Intel Mac Pro with the latest updates to Leopard. I went onto the Epson website and downloaded the correct driver for this scanner in a .dmg file. It appeared to install ok, but in Photoshop in File->Import there is no reference to the scanner. In Windows I knew what to expect. Does the Mac version of CS4 access the scanner in the same way? In the Applications folder there is an Epson Scan app that works. At least I know the driver did install and that the scanner is working. From this app I can scan direct to a tiff file which has benefits over scanning directly into CS4 sometimes, but I'l still like to scan direct in CS4. Should this work without me needing to do anything else? Am I missing something? Thanks |

Is there a separate Photoshop driver available? Epson are not very good at updating their drivers for latest Macs. Otherwise you may have to look for a Twain driver, which will install itself correctly in Photoshop. Try this one: http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/6656 |

Thank you Steve. I'm downloading it now. I'll let you know if it does the trick. |
