Problem when saving as a .jpg
I was working with 2 pictures in 2 differente layers, applying the layer mask on the top one. When I finish working and saved as ".jpg" the picture on the top "blew up" the proportions, but the picture on the back stayed the same size. I just could not save it as a ".jpg" anymore with photoshop, so I have to use "another software" in order to save it as a ".jpg" with the right proportions. I wonder what happened? what was I doing wrong? Thank you so much for your help |

If you want to save as a jpg, try flattening the image first. That should avoid any issues. Having said that, I've never seen behaviour like you describe here! Can you be more specific? |

Re: Problem when saving as a .jpg
Hi Steve: 1)How do you flatten the image first? before saving it as .jpg? 2)I notice that when working the picture in photoshop the picture has this name: egg.psd@100%(background copy.rgb (scaled)
The word "scaled" I never seen it before. Does that has something to do with the problem? Thank you |

You flatten an image by choosing Layer > Flatten Image. I've never seen the word "scaled" in a document before! What kind of a layer was it that's causing all the trouble? |

Re: Problem when saving as a .jpg
Steve: 1)The picture in top layer is: BMP file 709 x 1119 2.27 MB 2)The picture in the bottom layer is: JEPG 639 x 639 61.4 KB do you think there is a problem here? 2)Flattening the images still caused the picture on the top layer to increase its size out of proportions. Thanks |

I think there's a problem with the BMP file. It's a huge, wasteful file format, and frankly I'm surprised Photoshop allowed you to copy it into the RGB file at all! Try converting the original BMP to RGB format first, and you should find it solves it. |
