GPS Lat/Long to Address Converter
Hi there,

I am having trouble finding a resource that converts Lat/Long coordinates to postal addresses.

I've been trying to find a way to click on a location in a google map and have it spit out the postal address, but none seam to be reliable thus far. They always provide a range of addresses along a given street, but not the exact address of the mailbox.

These resources were reliable about half the time, but not spot on like I need. Once I get into a rural area, they give address ranges instead of house numbers.

I've also contacted the USPS customer service through email and I'm awaiting a reply. I can't be the only person looking for this capability?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't want to post here as it's not related to Photoshop, but I've exhausted other avenues and thought someone here may have a solution. Apologies if the question upset you. I've been bringing a GPS system on my aerial photoshoots. Which is why I'm looking for this solution.

Re: GPS Lat/Long to Address Converter
Are you sure this is even possible? The accuracy of a GPS will give a range as the data may be plus or minus a range depending on accuracy of data.

Find out if location data is + or - 20 feet or 2000 feet.

Re: GPS Lat/Long to Address Converter
Hi Cy,

You are correct. The GPS is giving a range during the photoshoot, I then sync it to the photo in metadata - and use a program to 'fine tune' the location to the person's property using Google Maps and landmarks in the image. It then updates the Lat/Long to that exact point. So the range is spot on after adjustment.
