polygonal lasso tool ...white screen...help pls
Hi,great forum. I have a problem that when i am using my poly lasso tool on a selection, especially if it is a big selection half way through i get a white screen, thus enabling me to carry on. This doesnt happen all the time and seem to be with the bigger more complex stuff im trying to select. Its really driving me mad. I thought it may be my memory but i seem to have plenty (although im no expert on this).
Any advice would be appreciated, thanks

I've never seen the effect you refer to here. Does it happen every time you make a complex selection? It could be a limitation of your hardware, rather than a problem with Photoshop directly.

One solution would be to use QuickMask to make the selections instead: you can still use the polygonal lasso, but rather than making one large solution make several smaller ones, filling then with red as you go to complete each selection.

Hope this helps!

I think I have had that on occasion, but the screen redraws itself again. Just don't panic.
