Canyon Conundrum by Dan Margulis
I read this masterpiece on Lab Colour and used some of the techniques described with telling effect. The book was written way back in 2005. I saw a 2008 edition. It was in German language. I do not know whether he has updated the book in consonance with CS4. My exploration with book sellers like amazon.com yielded no results. Would be glad to know whether updated edition is available and if so its full title, publisher etc. so that I can procure it from amazon.com. Rangan D P |

I am not aware that Dan Margullis has updated his book on Lab colour. Anything you see in the book should be covered by all versions of Photoshop. I don't think that there will be anything new to cover for CS4 as Lab is not a Photoshop specific subject. The English and German versions were published in 2006 and I cannot find a 2008 edition unless you are referring to a reprint date. Hope you enjoyed the book. Dear GKB, Thanks for the information. I would acquire the book. It is worth the effort to master and apply Lab Color technique. It is a tough nut to crack but worth the effort. Dear GKB, Checked up with amazon.com. They have mentioned Photoshop Lab Color 2008. At present the book is not available with them. They have separately mentioned about availability of 2005 edition. Can you find out whether 2008 edition is a new one or a reprint of 2005 version and let me know. I will ask my us contacts to hunt for this book. Would appreciate a reply. |
