CS3 layer mask 1: Intersections
Hello, I've managed to get the mask to work properly, i can move the man around - and the mask stays in place. However, when i try the last step: adjusting the brightness of the background layer, i have a problem. The adjustment only occurs in the mask. What am i doing wrong? |

Hi Hoth5, It sounds as though you have your mask selected and not the actual layer. Try clicking on the layer icon itself. If you still have no luck come back to us. Gordon _________________ Why is there only one word for ‘Thesaurus’? |

Re: CS3 layer mask 1: Intersections
Hello GKB, Thanks for your reply. I'm still having that problem, i've clicked on the background layer and tried to adjust the brightness/ contrast. But again it only adjusts the mask. I'm sure i've followed the walkthrough in the CS3 book to the word. Arrgh!!! Anything else i should do, cheers. Eric |

Re: CS3 layer mask 1: Intersections
Hi Eric, Are you clearing the selection after step 4? (cmd-D). If so it should work properly. On step 9, as there is no mask on the background layer, selecting the background layer cannot affect the mask on the man layer. rufus |
