Re: Eyeglass glare
With sunglasses, the best way is usually to select the area and paint a complete new surface.

Eyeglasses are a different matter, since we need to be able to see through them. The technique depends very much on the image in question. Can you post the image you're working on, so we can have a go?

Re: Eyeglass glare
One way to reduce is using curves. Select the lenses - face area within. Using that selection apply the curve. I pushed down the white and little on the lower black to keep contrast. With CS4/5 I also put the Adjustment layer to Luminosity which helps reduce strange colour artefacts. The fundamental problem is, as in physics, information is missing, so can only push so far. You have to start painting or cloning otherwise, well in my view. As Steve, I'm sure others have other solutions. My solution just makes him look a little clearer/improved I guess.

Re: Eyeglass glare
I'm sure there are several ways to fix this problem like painting or cloning to get rid of the glare.

What I did is just using the Burn and Dodge Tools to get rid of the glare. I'm sure there is a better way to do this.

Here is my quick try at this.
