Door finished;where to put the walls, etc....
I am in !00% Photoshop. I have just finished making the door. All og my pieces are on their own layer. What I fail to see is how to make the walls, floor, and roof. What am I missing here? thanks, Kathryn |

More precisely, should I put the walls, floor and roof on their own respective layers and group them--FLOOR, WALL,ROOF; and then merge each layer into their own layer; then, merge all together? I don't know what I am doing here. I hope this is clear. thanks, Kathryn |

I'm not sure how you work in photoshop. Do you put all your layers in Layer Sets? I would put all layers that are for wall in one layer set and all your layers for the floor in another Layer Set. Than you can move the layer set to any position you want. For me, I don't merge all layers together unless I have to. AT some put in time, I may want to change something. I would have a problem in correcting something and start over again. Thats just me, but others may want to merge all there layers together. I hope this helps some. Let us know if this is want you are asking Luis |

You may also find it easiest to make a new document for your hallway, then copy all the door elements into it and then merge them together. That way, you'll still have all the pieces of the door intact in the original document, if you need to go back to them. There are no hard and fast rules for how you work in Photoshop, just as there are no set rules for how you'd make breakfast. Different people like to do things in different ways. Whether you have your eggs boiled or scrambled is up to you! |
