making it rain in the cs4 version of thf book
i made a selection of the building. then hit ctrl-j to put the selection on its own layer. i clicked on the layer. then went to image and hit flip layer vertically. but it flips the image in both layers. what am i doing wrong. |

Sounds to me as if you're flipping the canvas (Image > Image Rotation > Flip Canvas Vertical), rather than the layer (Edit > Transform > Flip Vertical). That's the only way the Background layer could be flipped. Check you're using the correct menu item! |
