.txt files
Is there a way to open a .txt file in photoshop? I just stumbled upon Lorem ipsum and would like to use it as a placeholder.

Hi Bruce,

I know that someone will shoot me down in flames but I'm pretty sure that you can't open it directly in Photoshop.

One way is to open it in a word processor then copy and paste into a text box.

You should also be able to open it in Illustrator and then import it to Photoshop as a smart object.

Thanks, Gordon.

I know I don't have Illustrator, and I'm going to have to go look for a word processor. There's probably one closer by than I think.

Re: .txt files
Surely your computer comes with a word processor! Every computer has a word processor! How do you write letters?

Re: .txt files
I know it has a word processor somewhere, but I just haven't been interested enough to look. I write letters the old fashioned way - I enjoy the act of writing. I'm almost embarrassed to confess that I got a Mac in order to create photomontages and that's pretty much all I do with it.

Am I handicapped? Possibly. Am I happy? Blissful in my ignorance.
It all boils down to what Life is all about and I'm forming a strong opinion on that subject.

I haven't strayed too far from my cut and paste roots.

Moments later...

I found the Text Edit and it works like magic. Who knew?

Oops. Gotta go. I promised to cut the grass this evening, but the scythe needs sharpening.
