Using the book
How do I find the correct video to use with the book? I cannot find anything in the book to guide me to the correct video on the disk files.

Re: Using the book
Robert / Navy Bob,

Steve received a similar comment on that not long ago. I can't find his response, but don't worry, I'm sure he will reply tomorrow.

Either ways, I think we, others here and I know the corresponding video and tutorial files for the chapters ... errr maybe not all, I just chose the ones I'm interested in

.. But more than this, guys here will help if you get stuck on any chapters, including Steve himself of course ..

Looking forward to your contributions ....

Re: Using the book
There's an icon at the top right corner of each page of the book to indicate a movie on the DVD. All you have to do is find the movie with the same name as the tutorial.

All this worked fine when there were just a few movies, but now that there are 74 of the things I might need to find a better approach for the next edition.

Any suggestions? Putting movies into folders for each chapter? Or adding page numbers to the name of the movies? What do you think would work best?

Re: Using the book
Steve,
The movies are great but I just have a very difficult following the book and then watching the video. I saw the disk Icon but then when I went to the video file I got lost after the first video. Page Numbers would seem to be easy to do and then follow along with the book. Can you post a file on the forum that would key into the video file name with a corresponding page number?
Thanks for a great book, I've learned a lot so far!
Bob

Re: Using the book
Bob,

Sure, I can post page numbers - which edition of the book are you working from?

James, incidentally, has nearly 10 years on you. You can see his extraordinary animations in his entries to the Friday Challenge each week, or check them all out here.
