Magical Realism Ch. 13 Step 6
I was attempting to add this effect to a layer in my photoshop project. We cannot merge our layers for class projects. I tried to add this to only one layer. Is that possible? Anyway, I tried it but went to Image>Adjustments>Vibrance, vibrance was grayed out so it could not be adjusted. Any idea what I did wrong? |

To make this effect work properly, it really has to be done to merged layers. But you don't need to lose your original layers: use Command-Shift-Option-E (Mac) Ctrl-Shift-Alt-E (Win) to make a Merged Copy of the whole document, and apply the effects to that. Your original layers will remain intact. Hard to tell why Vibrance is grayed out. It could be because you're trying to work on a hidden layer, or in QuickMask mode, or something of that sort. If you're still having trouble, post a screenshot of the document in progress and we'll be able to see what the problem is. |

Thank you. I tried it on a regular photo and it worked great. It did make changes to the one layer I was working on but it worked much better on something without layers. Thank you for such a quick response. Sorry, my internet was down yesterday due to a 4 day storm. AT&T finally restored my internet and TV service after 2 days of problems. |
