raindrops or dewdrops on foliage
i can find single raindrop tutorials on the net, but i want to be able to use an image such as a rose and cover it all over with rain or dew drops

Hi Reg,

Select the brush tool and a mid grey colour. Select the diameter of brush to set the largest rain drop that you want. Now go to the brush presets and change the settings to something like Brush tip shape>Spacing>200% - Size Jitter>50%.

Now, on a separate layer, draw in your rain drops. at the moment they will just be a series of different sized grey dots. Bevel and Emboss then either reduce the Fill Opacity to zero or change the blend mode to Hard Light. You may now wish to adjust the highlights and shadows (and any other settings) in the bevel and emboss dialogue box.

Anything else that you draw on this layer will use the same settings and you can, of course, erase any errant raindrops that don't sit where you want them. You can paint to join dots and get mis-shapen drops or even puddles.

Play with all the settings to get the optimum for your image.
