Page 7 help
I can't seem to understand how to use the shift and Lasso tool to change the magic wand selection on the piece of paper and shirt collars. When I try it doesn't seem to affect the magic wand selection at all. Where am I going wrong?  |

Hold the Shift key before you start drawing with the Lasso tool to make it add to your selection (and the alt key to subtract from it). Does this help? |

Thanks Steve but no I'm doing that. I've drawn a line with the lasso from one suit to the other to close off the piece of paper but nothing seems to happen. |

Keep INSIDE the existing magic wand selection when you Shift-click with the Lasso tool and work your way around the 'leaked' areas. |

And are you then releasing the mouse button so the two ends of the lasso path can join up? |

Brilliant. Thank you so much. I was also trying to exactly draw around the piece of paper with the lasso tool. I didn't realise you could just roughly select a whole area.  |
