How to reduce file size of lots of photographs
Hi, I'm trying to reduce the file size of a whole load of photographs. (from about 4mb to about 300kb) I am in a rush so no time to alter all individually. I was thinking maybe the 'Batch' function in photoshop? or maybe there is a simpler program I can use?. Thanks !  _________________ “Art Is Never Finished, Only Abandoned.” |

Hi Artwel, You could run the Image Processor script in Photoshop. File-->Scripts-->Image Processor Follow the options and you should be good to go. You can run the command for all the images in a folder. Be sure to select a different destination folder for your converted images, though. Alternatively, if you have several different folders with images and you want to convert all of them in one go, then you can go to Bridge and change the folder view options to reveal all files within multiple subfolders. Select all the images you want to convert, and run the image processor command (Tools-->Photoshop-->Image Processor). Which will convert all the images and dump them into one folder.  |

There's a small, but fast alternative outside Photoshop: IrfanView (over 1 million downloads every month). Load the first photo in the map, press B and hit the Advanced button.  |
