Re: DVD
The tutorials are all in the folder named QuickTime movies. If you're using the latest (CS6) edition, they're all divided into separate folders for each chapter. In earlier editions, they're all in a single folder. |

Re: DVD
Hi Steve, Really enjoying the CS6 version. A great way to learn PS techniques. The videos are very helpful. Some of the movies have audio/video dissociation, making it hard to follow. An example is "Making it Rain". The audio becomes out of sync, and stops early. Other videos seem to have similar issues. I have tried VLC, and QT (Mac) with the same results. I have also tried changing the channel designations. Am I the only one having this problem? Regards, Sonny |

Re: DVD
Sonny, I certainly haven't had this issue reported to me before. I know there had been a few editing issues with movies in earlier editions, but I've re-encoded many of the movies for the CS6 edition to fix the problem. Could it be an issue with your DVD drive? Maybe try copying the movies to your hard disk, and see if you still get the problem. Steve |

Re: DVD
Hi Steve, I have spent more time with the files, movies, and text, and must tell you how much I am enjoying the book. Tons of great info, really well presented!!! I did play the movie "Making it Rain" from my HD, and the audio becomes dissociated, as before. At about the time of the Ripples, it is out of sync, and the audio ends way before the video. I copied the file to my Public Drop Box (~17 mb). Would be able to look at about 4 min. into the movie, and thereafter, to see if you have a similar problem? This link should allow you to play the file: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1660216/Making%20it%20rain.mp4 Thanks for your help, Sonny |

Re: DVD
Leonard, You could try contacting Elsevier - details on the main How to Cheat website - but it's unlikely they'd hold stocks from so long ago. Perhaps, though, it's time you updated both your version of Photoshop and the book? Steve |

Re: DVD
Steve thanks for your quick response. The Mac computer I'm using can no longer be upgraded past CS3 due to not having Intel processors so upgrading to a newer version would also have to include a new computer, so you can see the catch 22 I'm in . Thanks for your help and I'll try giving Elsevier a try. Leonard |
