Saving Jpeg with clipping path
I was wondering about saving isolated objects as jpegs with clipping paths. Is there a way to do it if the original was not cut out with the pen tool? For example if one of the other selection tools were used, and the selection saved as a layer mask.

Re: Saving Jpeg with clipping path
You can of course save selections as long as you have a mask, but that will also create a layer and can't be saved as a JPG.

Only pen-drawn paths are saved within a JPEG file. If you have multiple layers, or a layer that isn't a background layer, then it can't be saved as a JPEG file as that format only supports flat images.

You can save it as a TIFF file or even as a PSD, of course, although that will take up a lot more space on your hard disk. But maybe that doesn't matter these days?
