Accidental loss of work
Through major finger trouble, closed down 6 hours work as unsaved. Is there any way to retrieve that lost file does anyone know please? Know there is an Autosave facility but don't know how to use it.

I don't think there is, Harrott. There is one very small consolation - you can probably recreate the work in less time than it took you to create the one you lost.

Happens to us all at some point Harrott! All I can say is Save regularly!!

Save major adjustments under a new name (so you can go back to the previous saved version if needed).

Also have at least one external backup drive, it's good to have a couple of copies of important documents!

Mariner is right, if you recreate the work, you will get it done faster and probably have an even better result!

Photoshop CS6 has an autosave and recover facility http://blogs.adobe.com/jkost/2012/04/background-save-and-auto-save-features-in-photoshop-cs6.html

Hi Harrott,
Do you happen to be using a Mac, if so if you have Time Machine set up, you could go back a few hours and find most of it.

Re: Accidental loss of work
What a pain, but as I tell myself whenever I have done that, What I have created once, can be done again.
In regards to TimeMachine. When I came back from my holiday, I needed more space and deleted a lot on my computer, before plugging the TimeMachine drive back in.
Later I decided I still needed some of the things I had deleted.
I then found I could not go back on the TimeMachine to backups done before it was attached again. I had been away for 2 month.
