QuickMask example on page 15, 7th edition
I am trying to learn Photoshop using the 7th edition of the book. On page 15 it gives an example of editing an image of a bee in QuickMask mode. In Step 1 the body of the bee is outlined with the mask. In Step 2 the Magic Wand is used to select the middle (unmasked) portion of the bee. In Step 3 is says you can fill the new selection with the foreground color by using the shortcut Option-left arrow (Mac), and it shows the rest of the bee body masked in. Step 3 is not working for me - nothing seems to happen. Can someone help me out with this technique? Thanks. |

That's actually Option-Backspace - I admit, it can be hard to gauge the length of the arrow! |
