Horizontal blue lines
Hi, not totally a Photoshop problem, but i have a HP1290 printer and over the last few weeks I get horizontal blue lines over everything I print. I have searched the internet, cleaned the print heads, done realignments, changed the settings on the printer to fine, and nothing works. Is my printer on the way out? I would hate to spend £40 on a new ink cartridge (if that is the problem) and then spend more to buy a new printer. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Re: Horizontal blue lines
Hello Deborah Though I am not , nor had been an HP user when it comes to printers , however, , after reading that you had done everything that is procedural and still not having the the line issue resolved , and keeping in mind the price of a new printer vs price of cartridge + repair and + the price of a new printer .. I would just chuck the printer and buy a new one .. remember , once it starts going , it will keep on going then again , that is only what I would do . vahn |

Re: Horizontal blue lines
Hi Vahn, thank you for your speedy reply, however one internet suggestion was to try printing quite a few times at a very low resolution. So I tried it - and it worked! High quality prints all now ok. I really don't know why it works, but it did. |

No need to thank me Deborah , that is why we're all here right ? , to learn from one another ? It does seem kind of "strange" that , after "goofing" for several times , the machine goes back to "normal" doesn't it ? Am glad you didn't listen to what I would do (give the printer free flying lessons) vahn |
