Stuck with A refracting glass case
I am stymied on the last step of the last tutorial of Chapter 9 in the 6th Edition. The directions say: "Take a Merged Copy of the side window and paste it on top, using the side as a Clipping Mask; enlarge it to make the refracted view."

Besides the side window layer, which other layer(s) should I be merging to do this? Below is a screenshot of what I have done. I had to get rid of the icons in the layers panel so all my layers would be on screen. Also, please no comments about the shoddy drawing of my box. I'm not an artist and I've never taken a drawing class. My hope is that creating this sort of beveled box is covered in 100% Photoshop, which I am planning to purchase and run through next, as long as I can survive HotChiPs.

When you make a merged copy, use Ctrl Shift C and it copies all the layers on view. You then only need to Paste to place the copy on top.

I think you may find 100% Photoshop a little easier, as it does go into each effect in more steps!

Thank you for responding.

I may well find 100% Photoshop easier, but HotChiPs makes me have to think and I like thinking.
