Cloning Perspective
After a long absence I am trying to follow instructions on pages 48/9 about Cloning. I have opened the image, now in CS6, and it is the final or completed image. When I reach step 4 I find that, after selecting the bottom corner of the window by pressing Alt, that the clone tool becomes a 'Move' tool, moving the whole of the image around the page. This means I am unable to proceed any further. My aim is to reproduce the Spiral of flowers on page 51, so thought I would become more familiar with Cloning Techniques. I have watched the video of the windows process, where you start with the original image. |

Re: Cloning Perspective
The tool is in fact showing you a preview of the whole image, ready for cloning - and that's because Show Overlay is checked at the bottom of the Clone Source panel. You can get it to show just an area the size of the brush by checking the Clipped checkbox; and you can reduce the opacity from 100% to say 50% to see the original image behind. |

Re: Cloning Perspective
Sorry - I wasn't aware that I'd put the wrong image on the DVD. Here's the correct one: ![]() |
