Smart Filters
In a post for my blog I wanted to stress how differently the CS3 course treated filters compared to how Steve uses them. My CS3 book does have a paragraph on Plastic Wrap, but what to me is that they also have a call-out box about Smart Filters. I use Smart Objects all the time, but had forgotten there was such a thing as Smart Filters. I am wondering why HotChiPs doesn't talk about these. Are they not very useful for the amount of memory they will take up? Just wanted to know. _________________ I'm still learning. |

I did write a whole "book" about Smart Objects, which I published for the iPad through Apple's iBooks Store: http://www.pocketphotoshop.net I was planning to adapt it for other platforms, but the response was so limited I decided it would be a waste of time to do so. If there was a demand I'd be happy to work out a different way of publishing it! |

Unfortunately, I don't have an iPad or I would be on this like a cat in a basket of laundry fresh out of the dryer. I just found on the CD Rom included with the book that you had a deleted page on Smart Filters. Why did you decide to delete this page? I have managed to print the page Would it be possible for you to send me the file to work on? _________________ I'm still learning. |

I deleted the page because every time I update the book I have to cover the new features and refresh some of the old stuff, so something has to go! Can you remind me what the image on that page is showing? |

I don't seem to have it any more... but it was nothing more than a photograph of Arnie, you can use any starting image! |
