Mixer Brush
I am still slogging my way through the 6th ed of HotChiPs. I was reading the tutorial on Natural media brushes in Chapter 14 p420 and I decided to try my hand at coloring Nicole Kidman's hair even though you had not provided a file for us. (I went back to chapter 8 - Heads and bodies and made a copy.) The mixer brush is very interesting. Like most people I learn best by doing. One thing I did notice was that even if I tried coloring her hair with a decidedly unnatural colors (shocking pink and lime green) if the mix was set very high, it would still paint on Nicole's hair a natural shade. It only revealed it's true color once I left Nicole's head and painted on the background. What a terrific tool! Do you have any other tutorials for this Tool? I'd love to run through them. _________________ I'm still learning. |

Re: Mixer Brush
To be honest I've never really got into these mixer brushes. I think other forum members may have had more luck with them, but they leave me a little cold. |
