I need help!
I have an image of my grandson on a bodyboard, also an image of a large wave. I want to combine them, but want to make the board, hands and feet look part under the water. How do I achieve this? Any suggestions welcome. Thistle |

Hi Gordon, Posting 3 images. My final images are to be taken at the end of the month. I am working on two till I get the photos, and the 3rd. is of my efforts so far. All advice welcome. Thistle  |

Not a bad start, I feel you need to make the boy smaller, he seems to be too large in comparison to the wave. Also try to get some ripples or motion blur in to the part ot the board that is in the water. Next work on the colour, you will need to get some of the warm light reflected on the left side of the boy. Thanks, Vibeke, I have been away in South Devon for a few days and was delighted on my return with your suggestions. I am just waiting for the images that I am to work with. My family will take them on a surfing trip to Cornwall at the end of this month. In the meantime, it is trial, and more trial for me..... Thistle |

That's a really good start, as Vibeke says. I think the key here is to paint light onto him to he looks like he's lit by the flames on the left - that will make him fit in much better. |

Thanks, Steve, I had a go - many goes after Vibeke's suggestion. It makes such a difference. I am just waiting for the family to return from Cornwall with the photographs they want me to use. |
