Lava Flow
OK so maybe this is cheating a bit on the Friday challenge thing, but hell why not I say, all is fair in love and war ![]() I'm trying to get the lava to look a bit more like it is flowing out of the shop and on the street. At the moment it looks off and I am not sure how to go about correcting this. At the moment each piece of lava is on it's own layer. CP ![]() _________________ Paranoia is reality on a finer scale. |

Re: Lava Flow
Nice image but maybe you need to connect your images in some way, perhaps you could try adding some effect of the lava onto the windows/doors of the shops and pavement? I feel sure that lava at 100000 degrees would affect glass in some way? Maybe a little splintering or shattering?? ![]() _________________ "Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. Re: Lava Flow
I know what you mean, I am working on getting images together so I can stitch them all together and make the flow look like it is moving down the street. The other idea was to make it look like the pavement was opening up. _________________ Paranoia is reality on a finer scale. |

Re: Lava Flow
Ha, like the idea of the lava flowing out of the hot sauce store. Being that I prefer milder foods I suppose I should stay away from your hot sauce. I noticed a shadow below the lava flow on the right, which makes it appear to be floating above the sidewalk. |

Re: Lava Flow
I think there would still be a slight shadow from the lava as it has height. I'll work on making it look a little less like it is floating above the pavement though. I think I just need to remove the shadow from the front of the right hand lava flow. CP _________________ Paranoia is reality on a finer scale. |

Re: Lava Flow
Yes, the shadow from the front is what I was referring to. Sorry I wasn't more clear in my post. You have a great idea and I wish you luck with it. Wish I had more experience to be more helpful. |
