Add Water Droplets To Hibiscus
I took this of a hibiscus indoors, incandescent light on tripod and would like to add water droplets. Thanks for any ideas? Marty

This could be an interesting one! Before I launch into an explanation, can anyone else come up with a good technique here?

But before we add the water, we need to rescue some of the detail that's missing in the flower. Here, I used my standard technique for bringing back detail:

1. Duplicate the layer

2. Desaturate it to knock all the colour out of it

3. Change the new layer's mode to Hard Light

4. Use Curves or Levels to raise the brightness of the mid point.

Here's the result:

Re: Add Water Droplets To Hibiscus
is this technique comparable to using high pass filter on a duplicate layer and set the blending to overlay, softlight or hard light?

I have some rain in the form of a layer effect but I don't know how to save it and send it to you, can you help?

The droplets were created using it.
