smooth circles
Hello first post from me...

I am fairly new to photoshop and I am going through the exercises in the 100% Photoshop book. (great book BTW)

On page 14, Drawing in Perspective, I have completed the exercise OK but one thing I have noticed is that the ellipse I have drawn just doesnt look smooth as per the pages in the book.

Anything I am doing wrong for the ellipse (and circles in general) that makes it appear 'pixelated'??

Best Regards
John

Re: smooth circles
Hello John,
Welcome to the Forum.
The 'pixellation' is probably due to antialias not being ticked when you have made your selection. If you look at the two ovals below, the top one does not have anti alias ticked, the lower one does.
It could also be that you have zoomed in a lot on your document; over 200% and things start to get pixellated.
It helps if when you are drawing from scratch you make your image 300dpi. You will get much better looking curves, and you can always make the image smaller later on.
Hope this helps.
