Bad Weather
The pup got flooded, struck by lightning and caught fire

Re: Bad Weather
Fantastic Job! BobbyJo, did you create the lightening, rain and clouds in Photoshop? Also how did you make the rising water?

It's sunny and warm in Seattle.

Re: Bad Weather
Great job, BJ. Although it does seem a bit Old Testament in its excess!

I'm guessing - EyeCandy for the flames and lightning, Flood for the rising water? And the rain from the tutorial in the first edition of How to Cheat?

On the left it looks like a swinging pub sign, but I can't be sure. Which made me think: with all that destruction, shouldn't the sign on the front be flapping in the breeze?

Re: Bad Weather
Hiya and thanks

The lightning is an adromeda plugin as was the fire. The flood is a plugin from flaming pear. They really do some good ones. The rain and clouds are really home grown. I forgot about the sign

Just as a final note to a fab image - you may want to lower the saturation a little to round off the effect. On a stormy day, it's unlikely there would be bright enough light to give those rich colours.

Re: Bad Weather
Brilliant! Although the landlord is a bit concerned as one of his staff thinks it's for real as we really did have a storm here last week. I feel more wind ups coming on

Re: Bad Weather
Interesting Picture.

If you want to you can mess with lighting effects, saturation, and blending modes a bit to make it look creepy.

Also, I didn't do it here, but if you want to achieve better fire you can use blending modes and a picture of fire.

Re: Bad Weather
That is great. Reminds me of the Munsters

Fire can also be made using a gradient of red to light orange and then using the smudge tool to make the flames. then highlight bits in yellow and white, smudge a bit more and presto hey!
