New lens
Well I have finally got am IS lens. Canon has a wonderful new 55-250mm lens, not too expensive either. I haven't stopped photographing since I bought it last week, even decided to concentrate more on my actual photographs, than just shot and have Photoshop fix it.
Her is one I took today, it's rather wet here.

Lovely Vibeke. Captured the raindrops perfectly.

Hi Vibeke
That's a wonderful sharp image and no wonder you're pleased. The bokeh (the way the lens renders the out of focus areas) is excellent along with the colour. It retails here for just over £200, so I think you've bought yourself a winner.

Hmmm, I'm just popping out for a moment dearest, have you seen my credit card??

Incidentally, your stained glass pic is superb. Would you mind posting a few notes on how you created it. I've studied the image for ages and cannot work out how you did it.

Thanks, I'm having a lot of fun, it's such an amazing lens, The manual focus is also really good. When I bought it I was thinking of using the zoom mainly for distant subjects, never realised how great it would be for close-ups.

I have put some notes in the 'tutorial section'
