I've got the whole world in my hands ...
... well, my little corner of it! We're hoping to move house this year, and the one thing I'll miss is the view from my back garden. So I thought, what the hell, I'll capture it in a globe and take with with me!

Lovely work, I hope your new place is lovely so you won't miss your view tooo much.
We have got a wonderful view here in Nelson, and i hope we will never leave. here is a photo I took last Saturday morning, with my new 55-250mm lens. Winter is on the way.

Kate - beautiful. A great image. I'd tuck the sphere behind that forefinger, though, it looks as if it's about to roll off.

Vibeke - deeply envious, as always!

Kate, that looks fantastic. I'd love to know how you created the sphere.

Vibeke, what a view!!

Nick, I spherised a picture of the view with 100% as the amount, then cut it out with the oval marquee.

Then I was lucky enough to find a picture of a hand holding a glass ball, so I superimposed my sphere, with, I think, overlay blending mode. Then I just played about with the curves on my sphere until it looked right.
