Hawk
This shot was taken at a local Falconry Centre. The keepers arrived with plates full of goodies and the birds became very excited. I wanted to capture the wing blur, so used 1/40 sec at ISO 100. I took about 15 and got one where the head was still enough to be sharp. The colour was boosted by a duplicate blurred layer set to soft light and then blended (blend-if) to bring back the shadows. It was dodged and burned a small amount to finish Nick ![]() |

Beautiful Nick! Countryfile has today put out their annual Photo competition, the theme of which, is animals in action. Michael ![]() ![]() |

Re: Hawk
Thanks Michael. I did look at the competition, but I think animals in captivity are not permitted. I suppose I could clone in a few trees! Nick |

Nick, that really is beautiful, the color just glows. Will you print it? |

Re: Hawk
Thanks Ellen. I have printed it to A4 and may consider larger, but it's not really my wife's 'thing', so probably nowhere to put it. The original image is very clear, so I may rethink. Nick |
