Bulletin Board Texture
For some time, I wanted to create a bulletin board type texture. I have searched the web for some tutorials on how to create this. But, I have found some that did not look realistic. So I tried to create one myself. After experimenting in photoshop, I came up with this. Does this look like a real bulletin board? I was thinking on making a tutorial on this. If it looks good. Any comments, good or bad. ![]() The second image, I only used two photos. The thumb tack, Polaroid, and the scotch tape was all done in photoshop from scratch. ![]() Luis |

Re: Bulletin Board Texture
Hi Luis, This type of bulletin board, is also known as a cork board. Typically these boards are made of pieces of cork, which explains the name. If you go to google images, and look for cork boards, you will find a lot of them. Does your board look like a real cork board? Yes. I would say that you did a very good job. ![]() |

Re: Bulletin Board Texture
Thanks Dave and Nick for your comments Before I created this, I was searching the net for Cork and bulletin board textures. I found tons of them with different types of textures to it. When I try to create textures, I like to use only things available to me in photoshop. Very few filters were used in the first pic. All the rest were patterns mixed together. I guess I would call this a Cork Board texture. I was'nt sure if it should be cork or just a regular bulletin board. Luis |

That's incredibly good, Luis. You'd never know it was created in Photoshop. _________________ Leap and the net will appear |

Re: Bulletin Board Texture
That could be the definition of photo-realism! - a tutorial would be most welcome. |
