Aqua Restoration Association Poster
I made this mock-up non-profit organization poster for my Graphic Design class.

Great idea, but would it be better if the water level was at 40% which would strengthen the forty percent thing? (Forty is spelt wrongly by the way)

The poster is good, however, the thing that I noticed is that the main text is a little humdrum. I think it needs to be bolder and have much more impact - perhaps you could have a bolder text with a water layer linked to it to make the text appear to be made of water. I don't think this will distract from the main image which is a pretty strong image anyway.

I agree with Deborah, the water should come to the 40% level and the glass needs to be bigger to fit the scale of the hand and fit out some of that dead space around the image. Also because you have choosen a pure black background it sort of makes the glass and hand appear to be hovering in space I'd be tempted to lighten the background so that a shadow could be applied to the glass while still retaining the solid black around the edge of the poster.

Ha ha, I can't believe I spelled forty wrong. I'm not sure what you mean by the 40% thing though, I put the water line at 40% on the glass intentionally -- does it look like it doesn't hit the forty mark to you somehow?

The water text thing you mentioned might have been interesting Maiden, though I don't think my teacher would have gone for it since he seems to think simpler is better ( I was thinking of doing something similar otherwise). Also, I would have gone bolder, but I didn't want anyone to think I was patronizing them

Re: Aqua Restoration Association Poster
I think that Deborah and Maiden mean that the level of the water in the glass should be at 40%, rather than having a glass that's full of water, with a 40% line just below half way... does that make any sense at all to anyone?

I agree because it would show the 40% being wasted by being in that glass, also where the water leaves the bottom of the earth a good droplet would look good if it was running off the earth like this maybe?:

and the water could perhaps with some of this:

forgive me if i'm nitpicking

I love the image of the world being squeezed! Eye grabbing stuff there, well done.

Re: Aqua Restoration Association Poster
Excellent image - but I agree about the water level, it should be at 40%.

Incidentally, there's no 'u' in 'forty'!

Great idea
As the right hand side of the Earth is in shade, perhaps a little shading on the hand would help the two elements blend slightly better.
