It's all in the smiling eyes
The Redfield Expressionist Photoshop plugin allows you to mask parts of the face, in order that you make sequential slight adjustments for an animation.

I enlarged the avatar and applied sharpening after the Topaz De-noiser was applied. The trick is not over do it, but make gradual adjustments.
