Hello All,

Please give me your comments about the attached illustration.
It is inspired by the "pulp fiction" tutorial in Art & Design in PS.
Hopefully I will get some new insights from the comments, no need to be overly polite - be frank.

Re: Illustration
I think it is very good Martti. I have not seen this tutorial and don't know the genre but I would say that the figure behind your soot cleaner could be either a reflection or 'Mrs' soot cleaner looking out through curtains or maybe some sort of reflection of your soot cleaner. It is not clear.

The light source is not clear. The yellow square at the back of the soot cleaner looks a bit like an up-and-over garage door. But it also looks like the light source. But then it doesn't look like a light either.

I think the smoke effects are good as is the pile of soot and the text effects you have used. Your shadow is good too.

Hope this helps.

Merci beaucoup for your comment laddition.
Unfortunately french is not among the languages that Iam
fluent in, so I did not understand the bottommost line in your
comment.

Re: Illustration
My French poor, but Martti, I think if you see some of Laddition's earlier side contributions you might get an insight.

For me, to understand is moment of perpetual risk ....

BUT back to your image.
I like it very very much. Really

I am very bad at critique. And does not go down well it seems. So I do not like doing this, but you asked.
Just two points, questions(I dont know):
-Should the shadow not be diffussed with the perspective: + very smaller idea you could add some colour to the fringes to the shadow from the blue lights (????).
-Again, I like the image, but maybe you could have done more than a reflection of the two exhausts i.e. paint some context shadows, but only because I do not understand the light source to illuminate them both the same.

Thats all ........

Great work. Small points. I enjoy very much. Look forward to more Martti and Steve and others can always give you better comments than me......
Trevor
