KafkasFrien web
Hello everybody, After the chapter Drawer I was a pretty hardworking on my own objects which I saw on my desk. Here is my attempt gather them on one place to build up my first starting www page of KafkasFriend. Please, any comments will be appreciated, thank you. ![]() _________________ I have the true feeling of myself only when I am unbearably unhappy. - Franz Kafka |

Beautiful! Fantastic textures there - I particularly like the scratches on the set square, the key ring, the USB plug and the smart phone. A terrific piece of work. You've really taken this concept and explored it fully... and the lighting adds both mood and emphasis. Just one thing: surely the holes in the pad of paper should be evenly spaced? |

Great work Emil! ![]() Only one thought, I would maybe diffuse and graduate the shadows from pad and smart phone so they sit better on the desk. Depends on your light sources though, so a small thought. Again great, and really enjoyed, liked your other ones too. Trevor |

Excellent Emil, My only comment is the difference in the shadow qualities between the writing pad, the paper weight and the other items. Apart from that - excellent! Gordon _________________ If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence that you ever tried. |

Thank you Véronique, Trevor and Gordon, you are right that in the shadow qualities are differences. I will try to correct them. Many thanks for your comments I really appreciated them. _________________ I have the true feeling of myself only when I am unbearably unhappy. - Franz Kafka |

Fanstastic work Emil. Out of interest, how long did it take you to do it all? _________________ Wicked Witch of the West: I'm melting! I'm melting! |

Re: KafkasFrien web
Many thanks for your comment Anna. It is very hard to say how long did it take. I have finished the chapter drawer about 18.05. and this work I put here 07.05.10. The most hard thing was the smart phone. Other things I tried to finish in one day (at evening after my work). So we can say it was finished in 10 days (1 day about 2-3 hours). _________________ I have the true feeling of myself only when I am unbearably unhappy. - Franz Kafka |

It's very nice work. I especially like your green 90degree ruler thing (sorry can't think of the name for it) I'm wondering. At what point when doing something like this, would one consider a 3D application a better choice? Not for everything, but the phone and the ipod cable and the key. It's certainly easier to get consistent lighting effects on several objects when using 3D. Also of course you change change lighting at a stroke. |

Thank you Paul, the green ruler was the simplest thing on that work. _________________ For me the creative process is more one of discovery than creation. - James Lee Burke |
