Blast from the past
My son's school recently had an educational trip where they dressed up as WW2 evacuees - I couldn't resist the opportunity to do a little time travel photoshopping .. ![]() _________________ I'm not really bad - I just draw that way |

Re: Blast from the past
Great idea Josephine. The girl in the front row left is standing on the boys foot, so maybe move her to the right. I would add some gaussian blur and noise to the new figures and reduce their contrast slightly. This will help them blend with the original figures. Nick |

Yes, indeed, he looks just like you. Those pointy ears, the silky fur... oh, wait a minute, that's just your avatar. |

Re: Blast from the past
Yes, you are right about the girl - I fiddled round with the placement for those two for ages but forgot to look at the feet ![]() Believe it or not I already added gaussian blur and noise but not enough evidently - part of the problem was the noise was smaller in the new figures than in the old photo ![]() _________________ I'm not really bad - I just draw that way |

Re: Blast from the past
For the record (apart from stray legs) the only original figures are the nun, the policeman and the little girl, and the boy with the walking stick _________________ I'm not really bad - I just draw that way |

Josephine "part of the problem was the noise was smaller in the new figures than in the old photo" Try filling a new layer with 50% grey. Add the noise and then transform the layer, i.e. increase the size of the noise to match the original figures. Experiment with blending modes - overlay, soft light linear light and see which works best. Nick |
