smoking ban
Since january first, a law has been aproved in Spain against tobbaco. This law forbids to smoke at the bar or restaurants, at the entrances of public buildings, hospitals, school, either in the proximities of playgrounds, etc.

I had the need of make an appointment on the fact that the law "allows any citizen to report anyone smoking in prohibited places to the authorities" which practically turns every citizen into an anti-smoking policeman.

I don't judge whether the convenience or not of the law, neither want to generate discussion on that, but I'm a lttle concerned about the bad things that could come with the abuse of such a dangerous power. The power to point anyone with your finger and call him/her "law offender".

So I've made this composition.

Re: smoking ban
Yes, I agree - a very well worked image.

I find the sign in the background confusing and distracting, though, and it seems to spoil the power of the pointing finger. Are you sure you need it?

Hi Steve, probably there's no need of the sign. As in architecture: "less is more". I thought that was necesary to enforce the message that every citizen could be "police" but I agree with you. It's only a distraction on the overall message.

I'll try without it.

Re: smoking ban
Its very convincing Dejavu. I prefer the 2nd version (without the background) much more effective

Yes, I agree with both of you. Now that there's more blank space surrounding the hand and the sign's been removed I realize that all is more clear.

Thankd for your help

Re: smoking ban
I've been away from the forum for a while so just catching up with everyone's posts and images from the last few months.

OMG this is beautiful work Deja_vu and I also prefer the second version as IMHO it has more impact.

I included the abbreviations as I know you like them, TTFN
