interesting. But rather hard to read this image: are those lights windows? Where is the other light source coming from? And is the figure painted on the wall, or translucent and floating in front of it?

The lights are windows, the bottom one's a doorway. The figure is my mate with a shoebill on his head. There's a flaking wall texture overlay. Just working my way through your book and messing around as I go. Lots to learn yet, need all the help I can get.

Ah, right, got it. OK, a couple of issues here: first, the perspective. The door appears higher than the man, mainly because of the uniform texture, which makes it appear half way up the wall rather than at the bottom. A more clearly defined bottom of the wall would help.

Also, you need to think about the lighting. At the moment, there are pools of light around the door and both windows. But where would this light come from? The light from a door can't shine on the wall around the outside!
